Guild Removal
Generally we're a pretty laid back guild. As long as you're not a dipshit, you're pretty much free to stay as long as you want. The following things, however, may result in your removal.
You've pissed the Guild Leadership off. This will be obvious. It takes a lot for us to get pissed enough to kick someone from the guild. There's not much you can do about it once it happens, and you may or may not get a warning beforehand (though if you've pissed me off to the point of removing you, you've probably already had plenty of warnings).
Violating the code of conduct. We're an adult guild, and we generally act like adults. Which means that we're both mature, and have mature (rated R or above) language. We aren't a "family guild." There isn't much that shocks us. That said, if someone tells you you've crossed a line, back the fuck off. If there's a problem, it'll get solved as quickly as possible. I think you know the fastest method of solving that problem.
Pirates are good, ninjas are bad. Pirates may occasionally accidentally need something or loot something they shouldn't have. They generally apologize for it, make compensation, and make damn sure it never happens again. Ninjas do it purposefully, are unapologetic kleptomaniacs who will find themselves applying to other guilds rather quickly.
The "High Maintenance Guildie"
While we ask you to please come to us if you have issues in the guild, if we are living in tells with you about everything under the sun you do not like about policies, raids, players, the color of the tabard, how Blizzard has ruined the game for you because they nerfed [insert item, class, potion, or stat here] and so on, your needs are much more than we can humanly handle. Basically if you're complaining constantly then you're not having fun, nor are we by listening to you complain and it is time for you to move on. We will help you in that decision.
The "MIA Core Raid Players"
We realize real life can sneak up on our members and that sometimes it is impossible to get a hold of us quickly. That said, if you are a core raid member whom we depend on to raid and you stop showing up one day because you have decided you are done raiding and never bother to tell anyone you will be removed. After 10 days you will be removed form the core raid group and at the end of two weeks you're looking at being removed from the guild.
While we don't specifically remove players for not raiding, we do remove them for not respecting commitments they have made and for being non-communicative. Each player that signs up for the core raid group does so with the knowledge that they have committed themselves to the core raid schedule and are expected to show up to raid. Core raid requires a great deal of communication and leaving the group is no exception. By not showing up you are being disrespectful to the other players depending on you to be there and you are jeopardizing their ability to play the game in a manner in which they desire. If you chose to not communicate to a guild leader that you will be leaving the core raid group and disappear from the game for two weeks, you will be removed from the guild.
The Phantom Player
We have noticed some players in the past who log on momentarily to reset their "last on" counters so it appears that they are still active in the guild. Just for clarification - if you are not playing on the server and are just logging on to reset your timers, you are not active in the guild, you are trying to be sneaky to remain guilded with us. We feel this practice is rude and frankly we don't like it. Any player suspected of doing this will be removed from the guild.
For the most part, this guild is like baseball when it comes to disciplinary action for minor offenses. You will generally get three warnings and then you're out. If you cannot figure out that what you are doing is annoying everyone around you after being told three times then this isn't the guild for you. For more major offenses, the first time we tell you may be the last.
/gquitting
We want you here. We aren't gearing you up for bigger and better things, we're gearing you up so that we can do the bigger and better things. So if you leave, don't let the door hit your on the ass on the way out. We don't want to hear your reasons, and we generally don't want you back. And don't worry about your alts, we'll remove them for you. We aren't a revolving door. Everyone is reviewed on a case by case basis (and consideration is taken into how much you actually worked with and discussed with Officers about your issues before leaving), but in most cases you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting reinvited if you gquit.
So general words of advice: if you're heading out the door, get the hell out. We're not gonna gear another guild. And when you have a problem with the guild, you better have gone to an Officer and then if that wasn't satisfactory, to the Guild Leaders. If you've done that, and still aren't happy, then fine.
If you choose to leave Unemployed we ask that you talk to one of the guild leaders in game. If we have talked to you about resolving your issue(s) to no avail, or if you just feel in your heart that this guild is not a good fit for you, we'll wish you the best of luck and see you on your way waving hankerchiefs at the dock. We would expect you to deguild during your normal play times and let the guild know you're moving on. They've become your friends and they do like the opportunity to say goodbye.
The following are generally good ways to ensure you will not be invited back to the guild once you have /gquit:
Applying to another guild while guilded with us*. We consider an application to another guild by a player guilded with us to be their official resignation notice and we will gladly help you on your way out the door.
Leaving a "Dear John" letter on the forums or sending one to an officer and/or deguilding in the middle of the night.
/gquitting in the middle of a temper tantrum.
Threatening to leave the guild if you do not get your way will result in you not having the option to /gquit as you will be removed from the guild on the spot.
* Be aware that many guilds read each others applicant forums and even on private application forums pieces of the application can and have been shared. Think twice about bashing this or any other guild you may have been a part of in your application; no one finds a complainer endearing.
