About Our Policies

It seems very odd to play in a game, and more specifically in a guild, where there are rules in addition to the rules of the game itself. The players in the game pay their $15 a month (or whatever it is in their country) and as long as they do not break the Terms of Use that Blizzard has set up then all should be well, right? Well, not exactly...

World of Warcraft is a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online RPG) which means many people play this game all at the same time within the same setting, and any time you have large gatherings of humans they will colonize themselves off into groups (or guilds in this case) of like individuals. In this game that is especially important as much of the content requires an organized group of 10+ players. Thus we seek out those who play in a manner similar to our own play style and form guilds.

Each guild will have its own unique way of operating and they will have policies set up to ensure that the manner in which they enjoy playing is carried out on a day-to-day basis. Having guild policies allows the players in the guild and those looking to be guilded to see what is expected of them and what they can expect from their fellow guildmates.

This forum houses our guild policies and every player within our guild as well as those looking to join our guild should read each and every one of them as we do hold our players accountable to them. We consider them living documents and they will change and evolve as the guild grows to accommodate the guild's ever-changing needs. The policies have been created not only by the leadership of the guild but also by the hard work of many players over the guild's existence. We feel the policies are fair; if you do not feel the same then we would suggest you apply elsewhere. Not everyone is going to love every policy but if you find that you agree with a large percentage of them then perhaps you would be a good fit for the guild.

I would like to thank Evol from Chupathingy and Wytch from Resurrection who have allowed me to borrow many of their words and edit them to fit our own guild here. We welcome anyone to use our policies and modify them for their own use. We are part of a community that believes in sharing written content and assisting others in making their guilds the best they can be.

Policy Updates

The policies will be updated from time to time as the guild grows and the game changes. The onus is on the members of the guild to make sure they remain up to date on all the policies. Ignorance is not cause for dismissal. As the topics are edited they will be flagged and notations at the bottom of the topic thread will tell you what has been changed. Be sure to check back as topics are flagged with edits.
